ServiceMix - ServiceMix 1.0 Release

ServiceMix - ServiceMix 1.0 Release

Another open-source ESB enters the mix. These are becoming more numerous. None of these are of the quality or feature set of a webMethods or Tibco. But will they eventually put any pressure on the pure play vendors? Only time will tell but certainly something to watch.

Mark,

We should whip up a binding for webMethods Broker or IS that works with ServiceMix. Can't have a Tibco binding and an MQ Binding without one for WM, now can we?

I'm game.

Kind of interesting that they took that approach. I would have guessed that JMS would be enough given its support by the aforementioned vendors.

But hey we got to learn the new Broker 6.5 api sometime, right? What do you have in mind?

I'm intrigued by ServiceMix and think working on a WM Broker or BrokerJMS binding would force me to understand what it and JBI really bring to the table. I'm not sure yet what building a ServiceMix binding entails.
